Birch Grove

Welcome to first grade at Birch Grove Primary School! This is my 17th year in Tolland. As I know you will discover, first grade is an important year filled with discovery and challenges. While I have taught sixth and third grade, I really enjoy teaching first grade as the children show so much growth academically and socially. It is exciting to watch a child become a reader!

When I am not teaching, I enjoy traveling, hiking, climbing, and reading. I love animals and have three dogs (Stella, Sarge, and Lenny).

Since parents are a child's first and most important teachers, I feel we must work closely together. Open communication between home and school is extremely important.
