Your child will have homework during the week in different areas of the curriculum. Homework serves to strengthen basic skills and develop responsibility. Your child will record any homework assignment in his/her agenda. Ask your child to show you his/her agenda each night. Please initial the agenda as you read it each night. Any notes from me will also be found in the agenda. You can expect homework Monday - Thursday nights. Your child will get a list of spelling words each week. Please do the activities listed on the attached sheet and return the small sheet for credit. We will have a test each Friday. Our first test will be on Friday, Sept. 10th. At times, classwork that your child has not finished is sent home to be completed for homework. If there isn’t a homework assignment you could have your child read for 20 minutes, practice their spelling words, or practice math facts.
